An amazing day for Squamish - over 8,000 people turned up Thursday night and many more turned up Friday morning early at the Logger Sports stadium to watch the torch climb a massive pole. We'll be uploading photos to our Photo Gallery (see menu at left)

A young piper of the Black Tusk Caledonia Pipe Band has just undergone open heart surgery. A fundraiser is planned by the band at the Grizzly Bar & Grill. There is a pool tournament from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. It is $10 to enter with half proceeds going to the winner. There is burger and beer from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The band will also be playing during this event. 19:30
